D'lish July challenge

Love this colour combo -

Black, Red, Kraft & White.  Usually when I use these colours it is on kraft cardstock, but this time I thought I would do it differently and use black cardstock with kraft embelishments.  Have used some bits from the July Just Add Paper kits.

Hubby and I spent a lovely day on the Monday of the June long weekend at Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens, although the weather wasn't co-operating.  Love the uniqueness of these black plants.

Lunch with my Baby

I must admit that the colour scheme for this months challenge didn't really inspire me.  Until I had a look at the site again over the weekend after I downloaded some recent photos off my phone.  This one I took of my daughter last week fitted in perfectly.  I love how it turned out. Loved the flower challenge last week at D'lish so the flowers came out again.

I have used all the nominated colours.  There are a number of handmade items - the heart, little crochet doily, the butterfly and the pin and bow.  Love it when you have had things in your stash for a while that you overlook then all of a sudden they are perfect.

Challenge 8

Tubes

Last one and the messiest.  Thanks for the challenge Karyn, don't know if I got the right effect but enjoyed giving it a try.

I am please how these photos came out as I took them from the beach.  These $1 inflatable tubes gave the girls hours of fun - even if they thought they were too cool to carry them down to the beach inflated.

Used a journal it tag and some d'lish embellies

Challenge 7

Spoilt

Blue, yellow and white are not my favourite colour combination, but they did suit these photos.  We had a lovely day out on our beautiful harbour with some friends in January.

Have used some D'lish flowers and date tag.

Challenge 6

Struggled with what to do for this one.  A couple of weeks ago our Sooty cat had surgery to fix his ACL (ligament in his knee).  Its still funny that in a family of netballers its the cat who does his ACL.

After much deliberation I used the 2nd horizontal line - paint, journal spot, buttons, stars and chipboard.  Loved going through all my chipboard bits and used some very old pieces.

Challenge 5

Laughter

Another great challenge Leanne.  Some of the ingredients of the recipe challenged me a bit, but I got them all and again enjoyed getting messy - so is my desk!!!!

Challenge 4

Happy Birthday Day

Love bright rainbow colours. Thanks Agnus for a great challenge. There was lots of inspiration in it.

My initial thought was to do all the challenges with photos from our day at Catherine Hill Bay, but this one fit perfectly.  We had a great family dinner for Dad's birthday which is on 31 December.  We always celebrate it but not often on the day.  This photo was taken just on sunset and I love the light.

I loved getting the paints out and doing the background.  I don't often use paints in this way so was good to stretch myself.

Used some D'lish buttons, veneer heart, journal it

Challenge 3

Capture Life
Another photo from our day out at Catherine Hill Bay.  Love this one of DH and I love flowers.  I had no hesitation about putting flowers on a masculine layout.  He love to garden so it is quite appropriate.  There are definitely more that 5 different types of flowers, I think they are all D'lish flowers.

Love this layout, TFL

Challenge 2

A great sketch, thanks Kylie.
I just love the patterns in this burnt pylon at Catherine Hill Bay.

D'lish products used - wood veneer, button, journal it library card
